Product Description

🔹 Product Overview
Enclex 40 Injection contains Enoxaparin 40 mg, an anticoagulant medicine belonging to the low-molecular-weight heparin (LMWH) class. It is a prescription medicine used to help prevent and treat harmful blood clots.
Enoxaparin reduces the formation and growth of blood clots and may be prescribed in conditions such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), and certain acute coronary syndromes.

🔹 Key Uses
Enclex 40 Injection may be prescribed for:
Prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
Prevention and treatment of certain blood clots
Management of pulmonary embolism (PE)
Prevention of clot-related complications in selected patients
Certain acute coronary conditions, including unstable angina and heart attack, when prescribed by a doctor

🔹 Composition
Active ingredient: Enoxaparin 40 mg
Dosage form: Injection
Strength: 40 mg/0.4 mL
Route: Usually subcutaneous (under the skin)
Therapeutic class: Anticoagulant
Drug class: Low-molecular-weight heparin (LMWH)
Marketer: Cipla Ltd.

🔹 How It Works
Enclex 40 contains enoxaparin, which enhances the activity of antithrombin and reduces the activity of important clotting factors, particularly factor Xa.
This decreases the blood's ability to form harmful clots and helps prevent existing clots from becoming larger.

🔹 Key Benefits
Helps prevent the formation of harmful blood clots
Helps reduce the risk of DVT in appropriate patients
Used in the management of pulmonary embolism and selected cardiovascular conditions
Helps prevent clot-related complications in patients at increased risk
Injectable formulation allows administration when anticoagulant therapy is clinically indicated

🔹 Dosage and Administration
Enclex 40 should be administered strictly according to a doctor's prescription.
It is generally given by subcutaneous injection, often into the abdominal area.
It should not normally be injected into a muscle.
The dose and duration depend on the condition being treated, kidney function, body weight, and individual risk factors.
Do not change the dose or stop treatment without medical advice.
If you are receiving the injection at home, a healthcare professional should demonstrate the correct injection technique.
Important: Enoxaparin dosing differs considerably between prevention and treatment of blood clots. The 40 mg strength should not be assumed to be the appropriate dose for every patient.

🔹 Possible Side Effects
Possible side effects include:
Injection-site pain, redness, or irritation
Bleeding or bruising
Headache
Anemia
Increased platelet count or other changes in blood counts
Swelling (edema)
Nausea or gastrointestinal symptoms
Increased liver enzymes
Because Enclex is an anticoagulant, unusual or significant bleeding can be serious. Severe headache, black stools, blood in urine, vomiting blood, or unexplained heavy bleeding requires prompt medical attention.

🔹 Precautions
Use Enclex 40 only under medical supervision.
Tell your doctor if you have an active bleeding disorder or current bleeding.
Inform your doctor about kidney disease, liver problems, uncontrolled high blood pressure, low platelet counts, or a history of stroke.
Patients with impaired kidney function may require dose adjustment or closer monitoring.
Tell your healthcare professional about previous allergic reactions to heparin, enoxaparin, or related medicines.
Enoxaparin can increase the risk of bleeding, particularly when combined with other medicines that affect blood clotting.
Spinal or epidural procedures require special precautions because anticoagulation can increase the risk of spinal/epidural hematoma.
Avoid activities that unnecessarily increase the risk of injury while receiving anticoagulant treatment.
